Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Health Sciences Division, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission, vision, and goals.
  • Develop and implement divisional plans, policies, and procedures to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of faculty and staff, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and abilities.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to ensure seamless delivery of programs and services.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
  • Represent the institution at local, state, and national levels, fostering partnerships and collaborations to advance the division's mission.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to inform divisional decisions and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as health administration, education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in health care education, with a preference for two years of direct patient care experience in the health field.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising faculty and staff.
  • Strong organizational, advising, and counseling skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Ability to initiate, supervise, and evaluate programs, staff, and personnel, and apply applicable rules and laws.

Working Environment

The Division Director, Health Sciences Division, will work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring frequent on-campus travel to meetings and frequent travel within the building to observe classes, meet with faculty, and work with staff.
