Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Human Systems Integration team, the Human Factors Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that advanced aircraft hardware and software systems are user-friendly for military flight and maintenance crews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate requirements in line with Human Factors best practices and relevant military standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive Human Factors Analyses, including Task Analyses, Predictive Workload Analyses, and Usability studies.
  • Perform computer-based assessments and empirical evaluations from both operator and maintainer perspectives.
  • Develop and support documentation of Human Factors Engineering processes and products, ensuring compliance with military data item descriptions.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to align evolving designs with program requirements and Human Interface design standards.
  • Assist in Airworthiness analysis and artifact development to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Factors-related field, or a Master's degree.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher, with the ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-Scope TOP SECRET DoD security clearance.
  • Experience in developing and analyzing Human Factors questionnaires.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting engineering findings in both oral and written formats.
  • Familiarity with systems safety and personnel survivability requirements.
  • Experience with CAD tools and system engineering processes.
