Business Operations Specialist

Program Overview

Year Up is a one-year intensive job training program that provides young adults with in-classroom skill development, access to internships and job placement services, and personalized coaching and mentorship. Participants also receive an educational stipend.

Key Components

The program combines technical and professional training with access to internships and job placement support through our industry-leading talent placement firm YUPRO Placement. Internships may be available at leading organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a high school graduate or GED recipient
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program
  • Must be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills
  • Must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree

Program Benefits

Participants will gain professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, resume building, and ongoing support and guidance to help them launch their career. Some coursework is eligible for college credit. During the internship phase, participants earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.

Outcomes

80% of Year Up graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars per year.
