Physical Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in the rehabilitation and recovery of our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary care teams to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with a variety of physical disabilities and conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals and improve functional mobility and independence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct patient evaluations and assessments to identify areas of need and develop treatment plans to address these needs.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for managing physical disabilities and conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Washington, D.C.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a rehabilitation or acute care environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
