Are you ready to take your career to the next level as a Senior Roadway Engineer? Stantec is seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our New England Transportation group.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer with 8 years of experience in roadway/highway design to lead our team in delivering high-quality projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design roadways in accordance with AASHTO and MassDOT specifications and CAD Standards using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Develop and oversee design plans and calculations, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos and Design Justification Workbooks
  • Collaborate with team members, other disciplines and offices, and sub-consultants
  • Perform field investigations and construction phase services support
  • Interact with and present project designs to clients, agencies, and the public
  • Thorough understanding of project tasks within the overall project schedule, budgeting, and available resources
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers on transportation design and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Qualifications
  • Ability to lead or assist leading a team through all phases of project document production
  • Ability to be a great collaborator, effective communicator, and time manager
  • Ability to offer a Comprehensive approach to challenges and problem-solving
  • Experience with Microsoft Project a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in engineering design with project management experience a plus
