Key Responsibilities

The Security Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive security patrols and services around the clock. This role is essential in maintaining order and ensuring the safety of all personnel, property, and equipment.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Conducting routine and non-routine security and receptionist tasks related to access control, CCTV monitoring, and alarm event oversight, following established protocols.
  2. Securing premises and personnel through property patrols, surveillance monitoring, and thorough inspections of buildings and access points.
  3. Engaging in report writing and site patrol activities.
  4. Managing lost and found items and performing other security-related tasks as needed.
  5. Promptly reporting any security or health and safety concerns identified during patrols.
  6. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all Post Orders and Site Operating Procedures.
  7. Responding to incidents and patrolling the site as required.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures.
  9. Providing support for access control badges and ensuring authorized access in accordance with policy.
  10. Issuing and controlling keys as necessary.
  11. Assisting with daily Method of Procedure (MOP) tasks and coordinating supervised escorts.
  12. Ensuring compliance for visitor, employee, contractor, and vendor access.
  13. Performing access control duties, including static or standing posts as directed.
  14. Upholding uniformed security standards as per global expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal candidates will possess:

  1. Relevant security experience, along with appropriate licensing and certifications as mandated by local regulations.
  2. Strong communication skills, exhibiting a courteous and professional demeanor.
  3. Exceptional customer service and reception skills.
  4. Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  5. Excellent observational capabilities and experience with two-way radio communication.
  6. A clean driving record with no at-fault accidents in the past five years.
  7. Strong multitasking abilities.

Education Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
