We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure proper identification and review of orders for procedures to be performed.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Obtain pertinent patient history and check for procedural contradictions, ensuring accurate and effective treatment.
- Maintain and operate auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures, communicating effectively with patients and families.
- Prepare patients for procedures, selecting and administering the proper radionuclide/medication by the proper route and in the appropriate dosage.
- Prepare proper instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as indicated by departmental procedure manuals, understanding and implementing ALARA measures in performance of clinical duties.
- Evaluate image appearance and perform additional views as required, processing and evaluating computer-generated data.
- Obtain samples for non-imaging studies, preparing and administering interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol.
- Maintain sterile technique as required, performing imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols.
- Certification Program - Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school
- 1-year nuclear medicine experience
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
- ARRT (CT)
- CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
- SCRQSA License
