About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Therapy Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including image acquisition and the utilization of radionuclides for diagnosis and therapy of disease.
  • Assist radiation therapists, RNs, physicians, medical physicists, and ancillary staff in performing procedures.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
  • Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides to ensure accurate results.
  • Maintain accurate records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage, and disposal, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure a clean and contamination-free environment, adhering to NRC, State DEP, and TJC guidelines.
  • Evaluate images using PACS workstations to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Participate in reproducing patient position and evaluating images.
  • Assess and respond to patient physical and emotional conditions, answering questions within professional scope.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Nuclear Medical Technologist License.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
