Our Opportunity

We are seeking an Engineering Technician with an Instrumentation focus to join our Test and Engineering Center (TEC) in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will work as part of a team that conducts various testing projects, including lab testing and field work. You will be responsible for overseeing test projects, interfacing with project managers, and providing project updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee test projects and provide project updates to project managers and external clients
  • Assist project managers in defining test protocols and recommending equipment
  • Set up, conduct, and document instrumented test programs
  • Process, review, and interpret test data
  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve issues in a hands-on environment
  • Assist with lab equipment maintenance
  • Design basic electronic systems for use in testing
  • Serve as a technician team leader in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Prepare written technical reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or Engineering Technology in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and lab equipment, including O-scope, DVM, and various transducers
  • Ability to apply experience in data acquisition and test systems to achieve unique project goals through creativity and critical problem-solving
  • Excellent soldering ability and electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to operate common hand and machine tools
  • Knowledge and interest in automotive systems and electronic devices
  • Excellent verbal communications skills and a demonstrated dedication to quality and accuracy
  • Must be versatile, team-oriented, and willing to work overtime to meet project deadlines

  • Experience with electric vehicle, battery pack, or cell testing
