Job Title: Sawyer Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sawyer Technician to join our team at Aztec Engineering Group. As a Sawyer Technician, you will be responsible for operating chainsaws and other equipment to remove brush and small trees in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate chainsaws and other equipment to remove brush and small trees
• Assist with hauling brush and trees to approved sites for disposal
• Pack equipment in support of fieldwork as needed
• Communicate effectively with fellow employees and technical staff
• Support technical field staff with other fieldwork needs as required

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Previous experience operating, maintaining, and sharpening chainsaws or other equipment
• Ability to demonstrate safe working practices
• Ability to perform fieldwork in adverse conditions and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier

Preferred Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid training
