Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Marin Primary & Middle School. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement developmentally-informed and play-based programs that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of our students.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a safe, organized, and inviting learning environment that reflects the learning objectives of the class and age level.
  • Student Progress: Document student progress, complete developmental assessments, and lead regular parent conferences to ensure parents are informed and engaged in their child's education.
  • Communication: Create a partnership with parents through regular written communication and parent conferences to share information about the program and their child's progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to further the development of the school's program and contribute to a positive and supportive school culture.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of 12 ECE units to meet State of California requirements for preschool teachers.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching in an early childhood setting.
  • Skills: Strong skills in collaboration, verbal and written communication, and use of technology, including proficiency in using the Google Suite for Education.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding interpersonal skills, including patience, positivity, discretion, and good judgment.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Sit, walk, stand, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend from the neck and waist, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist from the neck and waist, and withstand exposure to noise.
  • Visual and Auditory Demands: Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination, and some tasks require oral communications ability and the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds.
