Position Overview

As the largest after-school music education provider globally, we pride ourselves on our strong, internationally recognized brand and our commitment to fostering musical talent.

We are currently seeking a passionate Music Educator for our Little Wing (ages 4-5) and Rookies (ages 6-7) programs. This role is essential in creating a nurturing, supportive, and inspiring atmosphere for young musicians. Our programs are designed to help children achieve their developmental milestones through engaging musical activities and the exploration of rock and roll instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Music Instruction:
    • Ensure high-quality music education through private lessons and performances.
    • Focus on teaching fundamental music concepts rather than just songs.
    • Develop and document comprehensive lesson plans.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
    • Be visible and accessible to parents and students within the school environment.
    • Assist in program execution during lesson cancellations.
    • Support rehearsals and basic maintenance tasks at the school.
    • Contribute to student recruitment and enrollment efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching or performing music professionally.
  • A genuine passion for and experience working with children under the age of seven.
  • Preferred background in classroom or early childhood education.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and curriculum development, including rhythm, notation, and various music genres.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of customers, including children and parents.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, patient, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong customer relations skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in at least one musical instrument: guitar, keyboard/piano, drums, or voice.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Availability for part-time work, including some weekends.
