Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Commercial Banking team, the Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in fostering and managing client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite commercial loans, encompassing both direct deals and syndications.
- Manage credit risk effectively, making independent decisions regarding an assigned portfolio of client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with the bank's risk appetite and policies while managing and servicing the portfolio.
- Analyze and spread financial statements, addressing industry-specific risks, and monitoring collateral requirements.
- Facilitate loan documentation and closing processes, and assist in committee presentations.

- Provide comprehensive reporting on loans, including past dues, documentation exceptions, and portfolio profitability.
- Engage in customer service initiatives, participate in sales calls with Relationship Managers, and identify client needs.
- Stay informed about financial and market trends affecting the portfolio and analyze their potential impact.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 4 years of experience in banking, relationship management, underwriting, or credit analysis.
- Proficient understanding of various loan types, credit analysis, and financial statement evaluation.
- Strong credit skills in underwriting, financial modeling, and adherence to banking policies.
- Excellent customer service, relationship management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in relevant software applications.
