Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform nursing assessments and identify pertinent information to verbalize to the provider
  • Review and implement primary care provider orders
  • Participate in ongoing education and training
  • Educate patients regarding their healthcare and the healthcare system
  • Reduce the risk of infections and safely administer medications
  • Perform nursing evaluations and follow-up with patients for continued comprehensive care
  • Accept delegated tasks when necessary according to the Utah Nurse Practice Act
Requirements:
  • Certification or registration within the state of Utah
  • One year certificate from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull fifty (50) pounds or more above waist
Preferred Qualifications:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • First Aid/Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Annual inoculation of flu vaccine
  • Annual tuberculin skin test
