Certified Nursing Assistant CNA
Company Overview:American Health Partners operates psychiatric hospitals in various locations, specializing in treating geriatrics with mental health crises or behavioral disturbances. Our services include diagnostic evaluation and behavioral health treatments.
Salary:$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of nurses. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities, providing a safe therapeutic environment, and crisis intervention. The technician must also complete medical records, transport patients and equipment, and monitor patients for assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Certified as a Certified Nurse Assistant required
- CPI certification required (or training completed prior to direct patient care) with yearly refreshers
- CMS Restraint and Seclusion training (or training completed prior to direct patient care) with yearly refreshers
- One to two years' experience in a mental health, patient care, or geriatric setting preferred
