Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation by cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, storage areas, and dishes.
  • Cook and prepare food according to established procedures and standardized recipes, adhering to preparation and serving schedules for all meals and snacks daily.
  • Ensure and document the appropriate temperature of hot and cold foods prepared and held for service.
  • Store food according to proper temperature guidelines in designated areas.
  • Prepare food using large equipment, small wares, and utensils.
  • Prepare the serving line by setting up food and supplies in the correct area and ensure temperatures remain in the appropriate range throughout service.
  • Provide customer service by serving food in a pleasant, courteous, and attractive manner.
  • Follow safe food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of customers.
  • Follow menus, standardized recipes, portion sizes, and special diet menus.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the dining area.
  • Report maintenance needs immediately to the supervisor.
  • Demonstrate cost awareness in the use of property and supplies.
  • Operate and maintain equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Ensure the quality of items received from vendors and match deliveries to invoices to ensure correct quantities and items.
  • Follow tool and chemical control procedures and complete accurate perpetual chemical inventory records.
  • Clean equipment after use and prepare equipment for next use.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of sanitation and safety practices, proper cleaning methods, and use the correct chemicals.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
