Job Description

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Engineer. As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will be responsible for planning and designing activities to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facility modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, project scopes, schedules, costs, and resource requirements
  • Develop drawings, specifications, and risk management documents in coordination with facility stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Technical Operations and Air Traffic organizations to ensure successful project execution
  • Manage and participate in on-site cutovers, testing, and restoration of facilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and provide periodic updates of project to team, management, and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a 4-year ABET-accredited college/university
  • At least 6 years of experience in foundation design and industrial structural systems (steel and concrete) with commercial, industrial, and/or government facilities
  • Current and relevant knowledge of building structural codes to perform structural design calculations and conduct engineering assessments
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD/MicroStation and ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form
  • Ability to maintain an electronic project folder related to site preparation and equipment installation problems
