Civil Engineering Supervisor Job Description

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) program, you will provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision for a team of experienced professionals, ensuring work is performed properly and within time and budget constraints.
  • Direct supervision of personnel, including hiring, promotion, and termination authority.
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines through to completion in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, establish project schedules, and project estimates.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding construction-related punch-list items.
  • Effectively communicate in written and verbal form, providing well-organized documentation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement Operational Risk Management, including development and submission of Project Risk Plans.

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering degree from a 4-year ABET-accredited College/University with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience with multiple personnel and projects.
  • Relevant experience should include experience designing shelter replacements, road improvements, roofing replacements, facility structural improvements, and facility modernization.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications.
  • Proficiency with AUTOCAD / MICROSTATION.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience for/with the FAA is highly preferred.
  • Prior work experience with US government managers, employees, and programs.
