Job OverviewThis role requires a seasoned Project Manager with expertise in Higher Education projects in California. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of professional services from business development to project close-out, including design and technical expertise.
The successful candidate will lead teams in all aspects of our services while maintaining liaison between the project team, client, consultants, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction over the project.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for achieving Design Excellence through project Goals, Strategies, and Results tracking.
- Manage day-to-day client relations and project activities, potentially on multiple projects at one time.
- Negotiate fees and contracts, plan and schedule development, and manage project scope and finances.
- Facilitate quality reviews and determine staffing needs.
- Minimum ten years' professional experience in the A/E industry.
- Experience with Higher Education projects in California required.
- Extensive knowledge of professional services from business development through project close-out.
- Experience in project financial and risk management.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strategic outlook, with an eye for detail.
- Ability to travel to and from project sites.
- Ability to access existing and new project sites.
- Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
