POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) plays a crucial role in the assessment and management of patients, delivering comprehensive post-procedural care. This position requires proficiency in recognizing and interpreting arrhythmias, alongside a foundational understanding of cardiac physiology and anatomy. The APC collaborates closely with healthcare practitioners and management to enhance the operations of the cardiology clinic.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of Cardiology or at least four (4) years as a Cardiology nurse, Telemetry, or ICU professional.
  • Possession of a current, unrestricted New Mexico APC License, maintained throughout employment.
  • Graduation from an accredited Acute Care or Family APC Master's Program.
  • Board Certification is required.
  • ACLS/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and professional development to meet licensing requirements.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with patients.
  • In-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for contemporary techniques, advancements, and trends in cardiology.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, as well as familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain effective working relationships with practice leadership, physicians, advanced practitioners, colleagues, and other team members.
  • Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective interaction with all members of the care team, patients, and their families.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
