Job Description

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit team in Temple, Texas.

Unit Overview

The Neuro PCU is a 38-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit that provides a wide range of patient care services. As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, and brain injuries.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Participate in unit-based councils and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and valid nursing license.
  • BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
