Registered Nurse Floater

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Floater to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a Registered Nurse Floater, you will provide continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care in a variety of settings, including critical care, medical-surgical, and women's health units.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to educate patients and their support systems.
- Analyze, modify, and implement strategies to progress patients through their plan of care.
- Ensure completion of nursing interventions, medical orders, and other related therapies.
- Prioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred - BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in critical care or ED setting required for Team 1 (Specialty/CCU).
- Minimum of 1 year general medical surgical/telemetry experience required for Team 2 (Inpatient Acute).
- Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or NICU required for Team 3 (Women's Services).
- Current compact RN licensure in applicable state required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NVCI required.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Specialty Certification, Chemo Certification, Triage Course, NRP.
The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
