Job Title: School Crossing Guard

Job Summary: We are seeking a part-time School Crossing Guard to ensure the safe and orderly crossing of school-age children at designated locations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform entry-level protective service work to ensure the safety of school-age children.
  2. Work closely with others to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  3. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 10 lbs. or less.
  4. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  5. Good near vision, color perception, and good distant vision.

Requirements:

  1. No formal education, training, or experience is required.
  2. Experience as a crossing guard or working with elementary school-age children is preferred.
  3. Must be of good moral character and pass a personal background investigation.
  4. Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards.

Working Conditions:

  1. Works closely with others in various weather conditions.
  2. May be required to work in cold, damp, or hot environments.

The employee must repetitively perform:
