Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform entry-level protective service work to ensure the safety of school-age children
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of traffic safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals

Requirements:

  • No formal education, training, or experience is required
  • Experience as a crossing guard or working with elementary school-age children is preferred
  • Must be of good moral character and pass a personal background investigation
  • Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift: 10 lbs. or less
  • Carry: 10 lbs. or less
  • Pull: 10 lbs. or less
  • Push: 10 lbs. or less

Working Conditions:

  • Work outside in various weather conditions
  • Work in high-traffic areas with moving objects or vehicles
  • Work in noisy conditions
  • Work on slippery or uneven walking surfaces

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $15.00
  • A part-time schedule with 2 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday
