Compensation: $15.00 hourly. Central Area/Cocoa. Part-time/2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days.

Job Overview: This role involves performing essential protective service duties to ensure the safe and orderly crossing of school-age children at designated locations.

Qualifications: No formal education, training, or experience is required. Previous experience as a crossing guard or in roles involving elementary school-age children is preferred.

Special Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate good moral character as determined by a personal background investigation. Successful completion of the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards is required prior to assuming duties. A working home telephone or personal cell phone is necessary. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, or any natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
