Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the ethanol manufacturing sector
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution

Reporting Structure

This position will report to various financial professionals including Financial Accountants, Financial Staff Accountants, and Financial Specialists.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for review and approval
  • Supervise and manage monthly closing processes
  • Maintain the general ledger accounts using Great Plains software
  • Oversee and monitor the fixed asset management system
  • Ensure a consistent chart of accounts is maintained
  • Review and authorize monthly postings to the general ledger
  • Assist the CFO in planning, forecasting, and managing cash flow to reduce reliance on borrowed funds
  • Regularly monitor all financial information for accuracy, including bank balances, receipts, disbursements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billings
  • Establish and maintain organized files for all financial documents
  • Support the maintenance of relevant policies and procedures
  • Assist in the annual audit and budgeting processes
  • Contribute to special projects as needed
  • Cross-train and support business processes in the absence of team members
  • Provide support to company officers, senior managers, controllers, and accounting staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
