Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, care, and repair of state facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure the highest level of work quality and efficiency.
• Plan, assign, and schedule staff for maintenance and construction projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure efficient use of labor and materials, and to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of repairs, providing status updates to management as needed.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, with a focus on plumbing and construction management.
• Proven track record of supervising and training staff, with a focus on developing and implementing effective work processes.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze and review completed work orders, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
