Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze User Requirements: Develop system requirements specifications by analyzing user's requirements, concepts of operations documents, and high-level architectures.
  • Lead Design and Development Activities: Analyze requirements and lead design and development activities to ensure that systems meet user needs.
  • Negotiate Scope and Resolve Challenges: Negotiate scope and resolve challenges via planning adjustments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide Visibility into Progress: Provide visibility into progress and impediments to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate TO Level Processes: Facilitate Task Order level processes and execution to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Facilitate Problem-Solving: Facilitate problem-solving to manage risk, remove impediments, drive program-level continuous improvement, validate system characteristics, properties and behaviors, and enable early feedback.
  • Assist Users in Formulating Requirements: Assist users in formulating and refining requirements to ensure that systems meet user needs.
  • Advise Alternative Approaches: Advise alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies to ensure that systems meet user needs.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Incorporate New Plans and Designs: Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Develop Product Architecture: Develop product architecture and product design documentation to ensure that systems meet user needs.
  • Guide Product Development: Guide product development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of engineering management plans and integration and test plans.
  • Interact with Government: Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Responsible for Technical Integrity: Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the System Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Organize Product Reviews: Organize and execute product reviews within a multi-contractor program.
  • Support Enterprise RFC Process: Support the enterprise RFC Process.

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph: Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or STEM related field, or equivalent SME level work experience as a Systems Engineering Lead.
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer: 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer on a similar type of Government effort.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Certifications: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Experience with Automation and AI: Working experience engineering solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the upstream and downstream processing of government and commercial imaging systems.
