Job Summary

Noblis is seeking a highly skilled Mission Systems Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA. As a key member of our team, you will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on the protection of space systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the integration of mission protection functions and capabilities of production systems.
  • Analyze integrated master schedules and identify operational needs, both short-term and long-term, in an operational setting.
  • Provide end-to-end system engineering for the entire life cycle of a program, assisting in the development of concepts of operations and system architectures.
  • Support readiness review processes to promote new and upgraded capabilities.
  • Support the development of requirements specifications and interface control documentation through RFC and technical specification reviews.
  • Help develop standards, utility tools, and procedures for use on projects, including risk, issue, opportunity, change, and information management.
  • Analyze and provide alternatives and recommendations to multiple government customers, providing key information, possible risks, and impacts, as well as potential improvements to government managers and other contractors to improve efficiency and achieve operations excellence.
  • Participate in studies and represent government as required in forums that support streamlined delivery of new capabilities and standardization of integration efforts.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or relevant field and 8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in STEM or relevant field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of satellite constellations, spacecraft orbit, and ground station characteristics.
  • Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment and operational maintenance.
  • Experience with system architecture changes, systems analysis and design, requirements definition, interface control documentation, verification, and validation.
  • Familiarity with NRO missions, organizations, systems engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with MBSE/Digital Engineering (SysML/UML), AGILE development, cloud technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, operate effectively with contractor, SETA, FFRDC, and Government teammates.
  • Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
  • Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders, consensus builder.
Desired Qualifications
  • Real-time operations experience as a spacecraft operator or vehicle engineer.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence.
