Star Tribune Company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at our Heritage production facility. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by performing various general housekeeping and industrial cleaning tasks.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform general cleaning, dusting, washing, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and restroom cleaning duties
  • Operate floor machines for cleaning, waxing, and buffing
  • Conduct outdoor lawn/grounds maintenance and snow removal
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and compact waste
  • Clean and maintain equipment as assigned
  • Move and rearrange furniture as needed

**Requirements:**

  • Previous custodial experience required; manufacturing setting preferred
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Ability to read and comply with safety signs and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental rules as it applies to cleaning chemicals
  • Must provide exceptional customer service to all plant employees
  • Ability to take direction as needed
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Operate motorized dollies, floor cleaning equipment, lawnmowers, and snow removal equipment
  • Requires ability to frequently bend, kneel, and squat

**Working Conditions:**

This is a full-time position with a 7-hour per day/35-hour work week schedule. Shifts and start times may vary. The starting pay is $17.08 per hour. All job offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-placement drug screen, employment verification, and criminal background check.
