Under the general supervision of the HVAC supervisor, the technician is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial or institutional HVAC maintenance is essential. Familiarity with building automation systems, pneumatics, and experience in healthcare settings is preferred.

Education & Training: Candidates should be high school graduates or have completed vocational training. Completion of a trades apprenticeship is desirable, and training in controls is a plus.

Other Requirements: A strong sense of responsibility is necessary, with the ability to work alternating shifts. On-call availability is required, along with the capability to perform a variety of tasks as assigned. A professional appearance must be maintained. Candidates must possess a clean driving record free from major violations over the past five years and adhere to the driving standards set forth by Jefferson Health's auto insurance policy. Any major violations must be reported immediately to the appropriate management personnel.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is mandatory for employment at Jefferson for those working within clinical settings. Candidates who are not currently vaccinated must receive the vaccination prior to their start date unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
