Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a skilled RN Telephonic Triage to join our team. As a Telephonic Triage RN, you will be responsible for assessing incoming and outgoing customer service programs, providing clinical and administrative advice, and following established protocols to assist callers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and sound nursing assessments of callers' presenting symptoms
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for each caller's presenting symptoms
  • Apply nursing process to identify and prioritize healthcare triage interventions
  • Follow policies and procedures to document call inquiries
  • Answer calls in a timely manner per protocol
  • Maintain confidentiality of callers and their personal issues following HIPAA guidelines
  • Interact with callers and other staff in a polite and courteous manner
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license for the state of practice
  • One year of prior professional nursing experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills
