Job Summary

Jetson Specialty Marketing is seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our team. As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of all equipment and machinery in our production department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to optimize production output.
  • Identify and troubleshoot sources of problems on mail machines, and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production operators and other technicians as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machines, equipment, and parts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain guidance and support when needed.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of all service, maintenance, and refurbishing works carried out on machinery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or an Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience working in a Machine Technician role; experience in a print or mail industry is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of pulleys, gears, belts, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent stooping and bending, and physical strength to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.
