Position Summary

The Enterprise Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in managing, designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining clinical and business solutions across various software systems. Responsibilities include overseeing system architecture, installations, maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement of our software systems environment. Key functions involve:

  1. Providing technical leadership in system monitoring, planning, and forecasting.
  2. Responding to incidents and offering troubleshooting support to ensure optimal system performance.
  3. Conducting capacity management and resource planning for system enhancements.
  4. Implementing new technologies and ensuring compliance with operational policies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and resolve issues affecting system availability and performance.
  2. Develop strategic plans to address future challenges and vendor recommendations.
  3. Estimate future capacity needs and associated software costs.
  4. Create and document system architecture and requirements.
  5. Participate in projects aimed at enhancing enterprise information systems.
  6. Install and configure operating systems in line with internal standards.
  7. Monitor resource usage and recommend enhancements for system capabilities.
  8. Support automated tasks for monitoring, backup, and security remediation.
  9. Ensure server systems' security and reliability, adhering to MemorialCare standards.
  10. Evaluate and integrate new technologies into the existing environment.
  11. Maintain punctuality and adhere to company policies.
  12. Engage positively with team members and stakeholders.
  13. Manage multiple tasks effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in system administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to enterprise software systems.
  • Experience in executing routine system maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Understanding of data center infrastructure and networking.
  • Proficient in server operating systems, virtualization, and network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft or Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Relevant technical certifications in Citrix, Epic, Linux, Microsoft, VMWare, or similar technologies may be required.
