Job Summary:

West Lebanon Comprehensive Treatment Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to oversee the quality, efficiency, and management of delivering medical services within our clinic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining protocols and assisting in decision-making pertaining to the medical care of patients, consistent with current medical practice and CTC policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the delivery of medical services within the clinic, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to CTC policies and procedures.
  • Define and implement protocols for medical care, in collaboration with other medical staff and administrative personnel.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to other professional medical staff, as well as administrative or support staff, as designated.
  • Serve as a liaison between the medical staff, other clinic staff, division or corporate staff, and organizational leadership.
  • Monitor assigned staff to ensure adherence to established medical and clinic policy.
  • Provide backup call coverage and serve in a teaching capacity for the training and development of other personnel.
  • Responsible for securing physical exams and histories from patients, reviewing medical records, making medical evaluations, requesting appropriate diagnostic testing, prescribing medications and treatments, and assisting in the management of behavioral or mental health problems of patients.
  • Maintain current medical records in accordance with federal or state regulations, clinic or corporate policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
  • Previous experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment
  • Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the facility or clinic(s) operates
  • Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification by American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), or other certification within their discipline preferred
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
  • Additional specific DEA credentials may be required, per state and clinic regulations or policy
