Job Overview

As a Veterinary Clinic Assistant at PetIQ, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pet care and customer service to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing top-notch customer service to pet parents, answering their questions, and assisting them through the clinic process.
  • Safely restraining and holding pets for wellness procedures, including vaccines, nail trims, and microchipping.
  • Collecting and preparing blood and fecal samples for laboratory testing.
  • Driving company vehicles to and from clinics, loading and unloading equipment, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Making recommendations for services and products to pet owners based on their pet's lifestyle and health needs.
  • Executing inventory processes, maintaining accurate product counts, and managing expiration dates for vaccines and products.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and living our values while reinforcing our brand promise with pet parents, partners, and team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
  • Be able to work weekends, varied weekdays, and times, including occasional overnights.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Present a professional appearance and positive conduct.
  • Be punctual and dependable.
  • Be able to drive a company vehicle for long hours and in various terrain and weather conditions.
  • Be able to work for prolonged periods in the field, including 12-14 hour days.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous customer service and sales experience.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within a team to meet team goals and objectives.
  • Comfort level in approaching customers to educate them about our clinics.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
