Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Clinical

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Clinical Systems team at Waters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our automated sample preparation products.

About the Role:
  • Provide technical design support to the Mechanical Engineering Department and other functions within Waters.
  • Interpret development specifications to produce high-quality engineering information, ensuring products meet specifications, cost, and timeline requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers to improve manufacturing techniques and cost-effective manufacturing methods.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical mechanical engineering issues associated with Clinical Systems Development.
  • Network with external stakeholders and collaborators to develop innovative designs and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment spanning multiple geographical regions and time zones.
  • Develop and source appropriate materials and technologies for medical device design and construction.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Mechanical, Electro/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mechanical design/engineering experience within the automation industry.
  • Proven effective engineering experience of precision electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • In-depth understanding and application of skills required to design Automated Sample Preparation products.
  • SolidWorks experience.
  • Good working knowledge of medical device materials and processes.
