POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Community Director at Dietz Property Group, you will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service and effective property management, aiming to create an appealing living environment and enhance property performance. Your daily responsibilities will include mentoring staff, conducting apartment tours for prospective residents, managing rent collection, and addressing resident inquiries professionally.
Collaboration with your Maintenance Supervisor and communication with vendors and contractors will be essential in maintaining positive resident relations through community events. Each day will present new challenges, ensuring that your role remains dynamic and engaging. You will take pride in being a vital part of our property management success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate, monitor, and guide staff to ensure completion of assigned tasks.
- Conduct necessary property inspections and ensure timely follow-up on maintenance work.
- Deliver high-quality service to residents.
- Monitor the financial health of the property to meet budgetary goals.
- Initiate and manage marketing strategies to achieve the owner's objectives.
- Oversee maintenance operations to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
- Adhere to company protocols for documenting and reporting property activities.
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Assist in organizing and executing on-site community events.
- Maintain the annual operating budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: These functions may vary based on specific site requirements.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills are essential for developing on-site staff, ensuring resident satisfaction, and coordinating the efforts of team members and vendors. The ability to analyze financial data, make informed decisions, and solve problems is crucial. You should also be capable of delegating tasks effectively and ensuring their completion.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS: A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing apartment communities, along with at least 2 years of experience leading property teams, including maintenance and support staff. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and familiarity with multifamily software (e.g., Real Page, MRI, Yardi, Knock) is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands of this position include regular communication, standing, sitting, and walking. The ability to lift and/or move items up to 20 pounds is frequently required.
