Job Overview

TrueNet Communications is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to support the administration of small and short-duration projects for our customers. As a Construction Planner, you will play a crucial role in facilitating processes and projects for our customers, working closely with internal and external teams to ensure compliance and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to communicate project tasks and schedules.
  • Coordinate activities with other employees to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and completion dates.
  • Perform field engineering of proposed projects to ensure cost-effective designs for construction.
  • Manage document control processes and maintain communication with customers and team members.
  • Organize and maintain data in clear formats, ensuring project files are properly maintained and uploaded in customer databases.
  • Coordinate with customer contractors and vendors to track jobs from start to finish, review and approve invoices, and balance POs as required.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of industry practices, standards, and customer needs.
  • Conduct research and review jurisdictional zoning ordinances as it pertains to telecommunication facilities.
  • Assist with the preparation of preliminary zoning and permitting analyses in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Escalate any project-related issues that may impact completion and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Hybrid Fiber Coaxial and Construction.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of Communications construction.
  • Must be able to work alone and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Work Environment
  • The work environment is that of an office position with minimal to high noise levels.
  • Up to 75% travel required.
  • The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
  • This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others daily.
  • Frequent use of a computer is necessary.
  • This position requires use of all general office equipment.
