Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a talented Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Trident Medical Center.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing high-quality patient care in the immediate post-anesthesia period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' conditions upon return from OR and/or diagnostic procedures.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide safe nursing care and maintain a safe environment for patients and families.
  • Transcribe and implement physician orders, documenting all patient-related information.
  • Administer medication and IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines.
  • Update and revise plans of care as needed based on continued patient assessment.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience in Nursing.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
