Northern Stage, a dynamic LORT-D professional theater, seeks a seasoned Director of Development to lead its fundraising efforts. As a key member of the Leadership Team, this individual will be responsible for supervising development staff, cultivating relationships with major donors, and overseeing the annual Director's Circle membership program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure $1.1+ million annually.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, business leaders, foundations, and government agencies.
  • Manage and inspire Board fundraising efforts, serving as a staff lead for the Development Committee.
  • Lead and guide the development team, conducting annual evaluations and regular departmental reviews.
  • Oversee efficient internal department operations, including timely acknowledgment and processing of gifts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing 5-figure gifts.
  • Expert knowledge of charitable giving principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong planning, strategy, financial, budgeting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain meaningful relationships with a wide range of donors.
  • Passion for the cultural arts and Northern Stage's mission, programs, and future plans.
