SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative engages with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and clarify insurance benefits and procedures. This role is focused on handling incoming calls exclusively, with no outbound sales or cold calling involved. The position is full-time and non-exempt, with working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with clients through inbound calls to provide solutions for routine inquiries regarding benefits and claims.
  • Utilize internal technical tools effectively to research customer information in response to inquiries, including authorizations, payments, coordination of benefits, and eligibility.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve outstanding issues to ensure customer satisfaction, taking ownership of the resolution process.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in medical and/or dental insurance is advantageous.
