Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring the facility's GMP/HACCP Food Safety Program is implemented and adhered to. This includes working closely with the QA Manager to maintain facility compliance and meet audit requirements.

Annual Compensation: Approximately $58,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Verify proper sampling and documentation of product, CCP metal detectors, weight control, calibrated scales, moisture machine verification, and submitted samples.
  2. Ensure all processing logs are complete and report any discrepancies.
  3. Assist in GMP compliance audits and inspections.
  4. Perform Pre-op inspection and documentation, follow up on corrective action.
  5. Conduct monthly glass audits for Famoso and Kyte reports to the QA Manager.
  6. Other duties assigned by the QA Manager and assist in conducting training.
  7. Maintain smocks ready for daily use in the production area.
  8. Understand and properly fill out daily documentation.
  9. Conduct monitoring procedures stated in HACCP and food safety quality manuals, reporting breaches if any.
  10. Conduct environmental swabbing on equipment throughout the facility.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with math for performing QC testing, calculating percentages, and grams.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule from 3:00pm - 12:30am Monday through Friday with Saturday availability if necessary.
