About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Specialist to join our team at Great Day Improvements: A Family of Brands. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management: You will be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of general ledger transactions, including daily, monthly, and year-end transactions.
  • Accounting Closing Process: You will participate in the month-end and annual accounting closing process, ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: You will reconcile balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation and perform analytical reviews to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Bank Account Management: You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of bank account transactions, ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Data Entry and Support: You will perform data entry for various processes and provide support to internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Customer Account Management: You will reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate accounts receivable collections.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Time Management and Organization: You will have strong time management skills, with the ability to take initiative and prioritize work effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: You will possess accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: You will have strong research, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Technical Skills: You will be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: You will possess an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience: You will have at least 2 years of accounting experience.
