Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality system audits, document findings, and propose enhancements to processes.
  • Engage directly with process control for both dimensional and visual assessments.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools (such as calipers, tape measures, dial indicators, and gauge blocks) to confirm quality metrics and provide training to shop floor personnel.
  • Offer quality assistance to shift Supervisors/Leads and other members of the production team.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Support corrective and preventive actions for shop floor staff.
  • Become an integral part of the AFP lean culture.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a production or manufacturing setting.

- An Associate's degree and experience in a manufacturing environment are preferred.

- A combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Proven leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and effective problem-solving abilities are essential.

- Proficiency in PC skills, including the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

- This role is predominantly hands-on, with approximately 95% of the time spent on the production floor in a quality control capacity.

Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience and knowledge, with an hourly wage range of $18-$22.
