Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating the fuel console, lottery machine, and telecom transactions, while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ring up sales accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and other forms of payment
  • Operate the fuel console, lottery machine, and telecom transactions with minimal supervision
  • Maintain store cleanliness and perform basic upkeep and cleaning of equipment
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety and proper working order
  • Complete build-tos for ordering and purchasing merchandise
  • Receive and verify vendor deliveries
  • Control merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits
Working Conditions

Work will be performed primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work to clean parking lots, gas pumps, and take out garbage. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures may occur while performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.

Physical Functions
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
  • Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour of workday
  • Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands up to all day
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in retail sales preferred
  • Ability to work in the conditions described above
  • Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described above
  • Ability to work with the equipment, tools, and materials listed above
  • Ability to work as scheduled and arrive to work on time
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English
  • Ability to perform the four (4) basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
