Cornell University Hospital for Animals is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including phlebotomy, intravenous and urinary catheter placement, and medication administration.
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and follow surgical or diagnostic procedures.
- Use various monitoring equipment, such as pulse oximetry, ECG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitors.
- Advise, guide, and support DVM students throughout your shift.
- Develop and maintain basic and advanced clinical skills.
- Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Expected to obtain NYS licensure within 3 months.
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
- Interest in ongoing career growth and advanced skill development.
