Job Summary

The Presales Security Solutions Engineer will work as a customer-facing security expert, taking a consultative approach to security projects and developing a holistic understanding of how security technology enables business. This role requires a strong technical knowledge of security solutions and the ability to design security infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and event logging.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements and assessments, including scoping, following industry-standard methodologies, and reporting findings.
  • Deliver detailed reports and lead debriefing calls with clients to discuss vulnerabilities discovered during engagements, as well as offer remediation and mitigation options.
  • Learn company Security services offerings and portfolio by self-study, partner training, and company-sponsored training.
  • Collaborate with multiple layers of contacts within an organization, including CIO, CSO, CISO, Security Directors, and Security Admin, to strengthen our overall customer relationship and better understand the goals and objectives they are trying to achieve.
  • Educate sales teams on Cyber Security solution selling and key technologies through 1x1 training, team training, and company training.
  • Stay current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying market trends and the industry landscape.
  • Engage in self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
  • 3+ years' experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
Required Skills
  • Ability to design security infrastructure including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and event logging.
  • General understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills are critical.
  • Possess a real passion for technology.
  • Expert technical knowledge of Security Solutions.
Certifications Required
  • CISSP, Relevant GIAC Cert, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or Relevant Professional certifications in Cyber Security OEMs.
Unique Requirements
  • Travel to client locations required up to 20% for customer meetings, internal meetings or engagements, travel to customer or partner sites, conferences, and SHI offices.
  • Extended hours are required to complete some special projects.
Additional Information
  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
