Job Title: Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Flexware Innovation. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and programming automation solutions for our pharmaceutical clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation solutions using Rockwell FactoryTalk View and SQL databases
  • Program and install PLCs, including ControlLogix and Siemens processors
  • Work with networking components, such as Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
  • Develop and configure interfaces with third-party software tools and utilities, such as OPC servers
  • Responsible for automation and controls system design, specifications, programming, simulation, testing, and start-up assistance
  • Assist in developing a functional description of the automation solution, including the control scheme, alarms, HMI, reports, and others
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and improve sensing, measurements, and actuation devices
  • Provide detailed documentation to clients on systems designs and programming
Requirements:
  • Technical Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Systems, or a similar technical degree
  • Experience with Controls/Automation Engineering, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience working with SQL databases, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, and SCADA/OEE solutions
  • Working knowledge or experience programming PLCs using RSLogix500, RSLogix5000/Studio5000, Siemens Step7 or TIA Portal, and other PLCs using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Blocks, or Sequential Function Charts (SFCs)
  • Experience working with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and integrated hardware, such as barcode scanners, scales, printers, etc.
