Role Overview:
As an Authorized Inspector Trainee, you will play a crucial role in our Engineering Team. This field-based position is essential to our dedication to delivering exceptional service and quality assurance for our customers.


The responsibilities of this role will vary daily, making it ideal for a self-driven individual capable of working autonomously. A successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with HSB clients while upholding the highest standards of integrity.


In this role, you will conduct reviews and witness activities in accordance with recognized international codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME Code, Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and Canadian Standards, among others. You will also perform inspections based on client specifications and provide engineering services to various companies within your designated area.


Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Experience with boilers and pressure vessels or nuclear reactors
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of ASME & NBIC Codes
- Ability to meet RCI-1 requirements for AI/RI examinations and Commission qualifications


Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical college graduate
- Engineering degree
- Experience with boilers and pressure vessels
- Risk survey experience
- State Certificate of Competency and National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission with "A" Endorsement


Physical Requirements:
The individual in this position must be able to navigate various site facilities, including ascending and descending structures while performing visual inspections of ASME/NB boilers and pressure vessels. The role requires consistent work in outdoor conditions, which may include extreme temperatures. Candidates should be capable of lifting their own body weight along with necessary safety equipment and must be able to remain stationary for extended periods.


Additional Requirements:
Some clients may require personnel to obtain a security clearance for facility access. Therefore, candidates must be eligible for such clearance. This position may involve routine travel among multiple locations, and candidates should possess an acceptable driving record.
